How I help

My work combines Clinical EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) with principles from energy psychology to help you gently release emotional patterns that talking alone may not reach.

Rather than working only with thoughts, we work directly with the body and nervous system—where stress responses, limiting beliefs, and protective patterns are often held.

As these patterns begin to soften, clients often notice:

About me

Hi, I’m Ruth. I’m a fully accredited Clinical EFT Practitioner, Matrix Reimprinting Practitioner, and Reiki II Healer.

I support thoughtful, self-aware people who feel stuck in patterns of anxiety, overthinking, or self-doubt—especially when, on the surface, life looks like it should be working.

My work blends evidence-based Emotional Freedom Techniques with nervous system regulation, somatic awareness, and intuitive insight. The focus is always on helping you feel safe enough to gently release what’s been holding you back—rather than pushing for change before your system is ready.

Before this work, I spent many years in the creative industry as a Producer, including at Nike and with independent studios and music artists. I understand the pressure of high-functioning environments, and what it’s like to appear capable while quietly struggling underneath.

My own experience with anxiety, burnout, relationship challenges, and grief is what led me to this work. It’s also what shapes how I hold space—with care, honesty, and respect for your pace.

My intention is to offer a calm, supportive space where real change can happen—without overwhelm, pressure, or the sense that you need to “push through.”

This work can be highly effective for a multitude of issues, including:

  • Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), often known as tapping, helps alleviate stress by calming the body’s threat response while gently processing underlying emotions. By tapping on specific acupressure points, you send signals to the nervous system that it is safe to relax, even while acknowledging what feels overwhelming. This combination reduces cortisol levels, softens emotional intensity, and creates space for clearer thinking. Rather than suppressing stress, EFT works with it—helping you feel grounded, regulated, and more in control. Over time, it can rewire habitual stress patterns, allowing you to respond to challenges with greater ease, resilience, and emotional balance.

  • Are you feeling overwhelmed and exhausted, or have you already hit the point of burnout? If you're struggling to recover emotionally and professionally, EFT can help you regain your confidence and self-trust while addressing the underlying "success beliefs" that may have played a role in your burnout. Enabling you to move forward, with greater resilience and self-assurance from a place of calm with much less force.

  • You may not know where this has come from, or when this first appeared in your life. With Clinical EFT we use gentle techniques to peel back the cognitive layers to discover the memories that may have supported this belief. We will work together to remove them and effortlessly create new neurological pathways.

  • Sometimes losing a loved one can come with so many more emotions, as well as deep grief. There's often sadness, guilt, and anger for actions, behaviours or words said or unsaid. Having lost my own Father at 20 years old, I understand the many layers of grief and the unfolding experience that can change with time.

    I will hold space for you and work with you using EFT to gently process all stages of grief to release it from your body’s energetic system.

  • You may have experienced years of emotional or physical abuse. Or something more specific such as a car accident, redundancy, an attack or receiving bad news. All of these can leave a lasting imprint often leading to negative self-perceptions and limiting beliefs. EFT can provide a powerful approach to releasing traumatic memories and beliefs that may be holding individuals back from healing and moving forward.

    I often hear clients say ‘But there are hundreds of times this happened! How will we ever work through them all?”. With Clinical EFT there is what we call ‘the generalisation effect’, if we can knock a few specific events out, the mind recognises the similarities and the whole thing can collapse. Bringing incredible emotional freedom from something that may have lasted years.

  • While we sometimes feel fear when we are in true danger, it’s also common to feel fear when we are under no real threat. We can feel fear when we need to speak in public, when we are at the doctor’s office, when we get on an airplane, or when we encounter a spider in our bathroom, for example. Sometimes, we develop fears so intense that they can become debilitating, changing how we experience life, reducing opportunities and creating barriers.

    EFT can gently and effectively break down the layers to release phobias and fears, sometimes relief can be found in just one session. A deep dive of 3-4 sessions however can remove fears for good.

  • EFT is a powerful tool for addressing performance anxiety, presentations, pitches, and public speaking. Moreover, EFT can be easily learned and self-administered, providing individuals with a practical and empowering tool to use in real-time situations.

  • EFT works by calming the nervous system while safely bringing attention to underlying patterns driving anxiety and depression. As the body settles, intensity around difficult feelings often reduces, creating space for new perspectives and emotional relief. EFT helps interrupt cycles of overthinking, self-criticism, and overwhelm, allowing the brain to process experiences differently. Over time, this can lead to increased resilience, improved mood, and a greater sense of safety, control, and ease in everyday life.

What Is EFT?

Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), often known as “tapping”, is an evidence-based approach within energy psychology that combines gentle acupoint stimulation with focused emotional processing.

Research shows EFT can significantly reduce symptoms of anxiety, stress, trauma, and low mood.

By tapping on specific points on the body while bringing attention to a thought, feeling, or memory, the nervous system begins to settle. This allows the brain to update how it responds—so patterns that once felt automatic can start to shift. In simple terms, it helps your system feel safe enough to let go of what it no longer needs to hold.

Studies have also linked EFT to reduced cortisol levels, improved emotional regulation, and changes in how the brain processes stress.

Matrix Reimprinting

Matrix Reimprinting builds on EFT by gently working with past experiences that may still be influencing how you feel today.

Using a combination of tapping and guided visualisation, we can revisit these moments safely, reduce their emotional intensity, and begin to create new, more supportive beliefs.

This allows the past to feel resolved, rather than something that continues to shape your present.

Reiki Healing

Reiki is a gentle energy-based practice that supports relaxation, balance, and overall well-being.

It works with the body’s natural energy systems to help reduce stress and support emotional and physical healing, and can be used alongside other therapeutic approaches.
