Acupressure – this technique involves pressing or tapping on different parts of the body, the energetic power centres, known as meridians, that regulate the nervous system
Cognitive therapy – this is a therapy that addresses how we see the world through our thoughts and the ‘cognitions’ that shape our behaviour
Exposure therapy – remembering and revealing traumatic life events. Combined with tapping, the emotional charge can be neutralised.
Clinical EFT is 48 evidence-based stress reduction techniques to calm the nervous system and rewire the mind.
EFT can take away the emotional ‘charge’ of an event or memory, thereby relieving the body of anxiety, stress, fear, pain, trauma, phobia and any other adverse emotion that is present. Focusing on a memory while tapping helps to remove the charge (the negative emotion) associated with a traumatic event, in other words, tapping allows you to release the emotional impact of a thought so that the memory is no longer a trigger. Although it may sound complicated, tapping is simple to do. Tapping on the acupoints helps restore balance to your whole energy system. Research shows that an hour of EFT can significantly reduce stress levels.
Just one session of EFT can reduce cortisol (the stress hormone) by 43%.
An EFT session provides a safe structured environment for individuals to explore their emotions, release negative energy and foster emotional well-being. Yawning and crying during a session are very common. They can signify the release of energy blocks and contribute to an energetic boost and inner calm. Whether it’s money, relationship, career, health or a physical issue, Clinical EFT helps you get more out of life.
